Sanitize the room:
When you go to your room, the first thing you need to do is clean. Please do not take the institute’s word for it and do it yourself. Take sanitisers with you or mix alcohol with water and a little bit of bleach. Spray that onto every surface and then wipe clean. Once you have cleaned and sanitised all parts of the room, including beds, tables, and closet, make sure to throw away the cloth you used to wipe everything clean. Do all this while wearing gloves, and do not forget to clean the toilet or bathroom too. Get into nooks and crannies along with the shower and taps so that everything is clean and disinfected. Change bedsheets:
Do not use the same sheets the educational institute gave you. Please do not trust the institutes’ sense of hygiene since their cleaners are always in a rush. Buy your bed sheets and pillowcases along with a comforter or blanket. These are the bare essentials you need because they will be clean. You will know where they have been, and it will give you peace of mind. Since you have cleaned and disinfected the entire room, carefully strip the bed and then pack those sheets and pack it in a plastic bag. Wear a mask at all times:
Do not be a fool and go out without a mask. Take a whole bag of disposable masks with you or if you are taking fabric masks, take a couple of them with you. Once you wear one out, make sure you come home and wash it so that it is clean and disinfected. Many students get lazy and do not wash their masks, which results in them wearing the same old mask every day. That is useless because if a mask already has the virus on it, you will get sick the next day when you wear it again since the virus will transmit on to you. And sure you rinse fabric masks after every use and throw away the disposable masks you wore at day end. Limit going out:
Yes, it has been a really long time since you got to see your friends, but it is far more essential to stay safe and healthy than to go out and mingle. If you get invited to a party, politely decline because, at parties, the rule of social distancing cannot be followed. Wear a mask and do not go out much often. Every day go out for your class and then go to get groceries and come back home. Only step out for essentials since those are the only thing you need to survive in a college dorm. It will not only be good and beenficial for your health, but it will also help you save money.
Buy things in bulk:
To limit your trips outside the dorm or off-campus, make sure you buy things in bulk. If you are going to get groceries, shop for a couple of weeks. Buy vegetables and fruits more than you need so you can freeze the rest. This way, something will always be on hand to eat, and you will never run out. You can also buy grains and lentils since they store well in your pantry. That way, you can use them for as long as you want, and you will not have to go out as frequently as possible.

You will slowly start to feel like you are not hungry. Your mind will be too occupied to think straight, which is why you will not feel hungry.
